We have started to receive requests from customers to install vulnerability scanning agents on the MSL operating system. This is explicitly not supported today.

As security has become the top concern of customers, especially in financial verticles, they are not willing to wait for a security advisory to be made available for new issues. They want to proactively monitor the Mitel equipment.

Support to install 3rd party tools needs to be considered in MSL and supported by all appliances. Physical controllers included now that they are running Linux.

I currently have customers looking to displace the Mitel solution due to this.
