Since Mitel is using Amazon Services to provide access to the Software download center: swdlgw.mitel.com
When the Mitel server reaches out to swdlgw.mitel.com it may be going to a number of different public IP addresses.
This creates an issue when you're configured in Server-Gateway mode and the WAN adapter is associated with a provided such as AT&T on a dedicated SIP trunk circuit that doesn't allow internet traffic.
The current solution is to Add an Additional Network Route which only supports IP addresses.
It's understood that Linux and Windows will allow you to add a route at the OS level.
Question is, how does Mitel want this addressed?
Do you want dealers and customers configuring changes at the OS level now?
If so you should provide an example that shows how Mitel wants this to be done.
Similar to the way that Mitel will provide an example of using any CLI commands on the OS level.

I ran into an issue with this. I had done a remote fresh install of MSL 12.x but couldn't download the MBG blade because of no route to host error even after adding in routes. I had to use KMS SO5205 to fix the issue then reprogram the WAN port afterwards to get it working. We need a way to route traffic to the Mitel servers for blades and licensing out the LAN Gateway.
